Student Programs - Volleyball Program
Upwey High School runs a specialised Volleyball Program covering all year levels. Volleyball is a sport that truly fosters cooperation and teamwork and we highly value its place in our cocurricular activities.
The school provides a structured coaching program where students learn and build their skills. They even complete an umpiring course!
The Volleyball Program is a vital part of the school and provides students with the opportunity to compete at the highest level. Students compete in:
- a Thursday afternoon competition at Upwey
- the Victorian One-Day Cup (Best Performed School in 2015 and 2016)
- the Victorian 4-Day Championships
- the Victorian Junio Championships
Year 9 teams have also participated in a volleyball tour to New Zealand (pre-pandemic) where they compete in the North Island Championships.
The Volleyball Program is also fortunate to enjoy the strong support of the parents and friends of the Volleyball Support Group.
