Enrolment - Transition Program

Moving into a new school is often a nervous time. Not only are students learning new procedures, protocols and adjusing to expectations, they are also make new friends and developing working relationships with staff.

Year 5 Transition Program

Due to various restrictions, this program is on hold in 2021. Sorry for any inconvenience that this causes.

Year 6 

Families make school choices in April/May and first contact from UHS is usually in September in the form of a welcoming letter.

Our staff visit Primary Schools during Term 4 to talk with classroom teachers on how we might best work with our new incoming students.

On the second Tuesday of December, our new students spend a Transition Day with UHS. On this day they meet their new classmates and teachers. They also learn to find their waty around the buildings.

That night we welcome the new Year 7 Parents with an Information Evening.

Year 7

'Tea and Tissues' on the first day. School Tour with the Principal.

Transition Camp - usually about Week 3.

Peer Support Program - students being actively supported by Year 10 students
